Velvets

Natural Textures

Sisal is traditionally used in rope-making and the same qualities of strength make it ideal for floor covering. Coir is a particularly hardwearing and good value alternative to carpet. The fibres are from the coconut husk and can be left in their natural coconut colour, or bleached to creamier shades, and woven into a variety of patterns.

Wool is the most familiar of all the natural fibres, and has been used to make carpets for the best part of five thousand years. It makes a superb natural floor covering, being resilient, soft, warm and long-lasting, and is suitable for almost any location.
